Once again in the book there has been some pretty major events but , there were quite a few smaller parts. Firstly to start off the new chapters it was in the Grapevines publication’s office having a meeting talking about how the next newspaper is going to be about the Wave and what it is and about. Most of the newspaper staff weren’t paying attention, doing their own little thing. That day Laurie got an anonymous note about the Wave and how people were trying to force him to join before it’s too late, and he is confused what is too late. The Wave gotten all over the school even the principal knew about it and got a little worried with the complaints about the experiment. Ben Ross had to go to the office and got warning’s about not taking the project to far which is kind of weird that a teacher is getting in trouble for teaching to dramatically. Ben just tells the principal not to worry that he wont let it go to far, which is kind of weird as how when he leaves Robert decides that he is going to be Ben’s bodyguard. Ben was kind of confused about why he wanted to his bodyguard, he thought it would just add to the full experience. Later that day, there was a fight between Deutsch and Brian about Deutsch has been after Brian’s spot on the football team all year. After the fight was split up Brian yelled the motto,“Strength through Discipline,Strength through Community, Strength through Action.” at Deutsch a non-wave member. With that happening it ended the relationship with an argument between Laurie and David. Later that day the rally happened, yet Laurie didn’t go even though all of the Wave members went since it was more about the Wave and the new recruits of the Wave then the football team which the rally was held for, yet no one seemed to mind. While the rally was happening Laurie was sitting in the publications office of the Grapevine, soon to be interrupted by Alex and Carl they were bored and hating the rally so they snuck away saying they went to the washroom. While they all sat there dissing the Wave. They decided that they were going to make a non-wave group called the ripple by Carl just fooling around, yet Laurie took it seriously wanting to have a meeting after school to write articles on the Wave trying to stop everyone in the Wave from what they were doing.

I think that this book has been way better than it was before. I used to think that there was too much conversation and nothing is happening but now there is more action which I really like. I think that the Wave has been getting a bit over dramatic, well the students are because it is intense how Brian was yelling the motto’s after he fought Deutsch, or the anonymous  letter about a kid almost being forced to join before its too late. The group is starting to get a little carried away since all of the students are only worrying about the Wave. All they want to do is about the wave, recruit, special treatment to each other Wave members ,bodyguards in a high school. It is just a bunch of nonsense what they are doing it is just going to go too far, and Ben is even saying that it wont go any farther then he will let it go, yet he doesnt have very much control over it, the group is more ran by the community, not the leader or creator. I think that this is starting to mean that the group isn’t ran by the leader, only guided.
